These Terms & Conditions apply to quotations, bookings and services supplied by CleanSafe unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Quotations and Site Surveys

Where appropriate, CleanSafe may carry out a site survey before providing a quotation.

Quotations are based on the information and conditions visible or reasonably known at the time of assessment.

If additional contamination, damage, access difficulties, specialist treatment requirements or other unforeseen conditions become apparent after work begins, we will discuss these with the customer before carrying out significant additional work or applying additional charges.

Unless stated otherwise, quotations are estimates for the specified scope of work and may be subject to change if the agreed scope changes.

3. Booking a Service

A booking is confirmed when CleanSafe accepts the customer’s request for work and the agreed date, scope and price have been confirmed.

Where a deposit is required, the booking may not be considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Customers should ensure that all information provided about the property, surfaces, access and known issues is accurate.

4. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Where a consumer enters into a qualifying distance or off-premises service contract, they may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being concluded.

If a customer asks CleanSafe to begin providing services during that cancellation period, CleanSafe may require an express request to start work early. Where permitted by law, the customer may be required to pay a reasonable amount for services supplied before cancellation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any statutory rights available to consumers under Irish law.

5. Customer Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change.

Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking.

Where CleanSafe has incurred non-recoverable costs, purchased specialist materials specifically for the job, or reserved significant labour or equipment, reasonable charges may apply where permitted by law and where these have been communicated to the customer.

Any deposit arrangements or specific cancellation conditions will be confirmed before booking where applicable.

6. Weather and Unavoidable Delays

Some CleanSafe services, particularly exterior cleaning, roof cleaning, softwashing and biocide treatments, depend on suitable weather and site conditions.

Work may need to be postponed or rescheduled because of:

  • heavy rain

  • high winds

  • frost

  • unsafe roof or access conditions

  • extreme temperatures

  • other circumstances affecting safety or treatment performance

Where this happens, CleanSafe will arrange a suitable alternative date.

CleanSafe will not be responsible for reasonable delays caused by circumstances outside our control.

7. Access to the Property

The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the areas included in the quotation.

Where required, this may include:

  • access to external areas

  • suitable parking

  • access to water or electricity where previously agreed

  • removal of vehicles, furniture or personal items

  • access through gates or locked areas

If work cannot proceed because adequate access has not been provided, additional attendance or rescheduling charges may apply where reasonable.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Before work begins, customers should inform CleanSafe of any known:

  • damaged or loose surfaces

  • leaks

  • defective roof tiles or slates

  • unstable structures

  • electrical hazards

  • delicate finishes

  • previous coatings or treatments

  • asbestos-containing materials or suspected asbestos

  • drainage issues

  • other defects that may affect the work

Customers should also remove or protect particularly valuable, fragile or sensitive items where appropriate.

9. Existing Damage and Surface Condition

Cleaning and restoration can reveal pre-existing defects, staining, fading, repairs, deterioration or colour variation that were previously hidden by dirt or contamination.

CleanSafe cannot be held responsible for damage that existed before work began or for defects arising from the underlying condition of the surface.

Where we identify a significant concern before or during work, we will explain it to the customer where reasonably practicable.

10. Cleaning Results

CleanSafe will use appropriate professional methods and products with the aim of achieving the best reasonable result for the surface and condition being treated.

However, complete removal of every stain, mark, discolouration, lichen deposit, historic damage or permanent surface defect cannot always be guaranteed.

Results may vary depending on factors including:

  • age

  • wear

  • previous treatments

  • staining

  • porosity

  • surface damage

  • weather exposure

  • material type

11. Chemicals and Treatments

CleanSafe may use professional cleaning products, biocides, softwash treatments, detergents or other specialist products where appropriate.

Products will be used in accordance with relevant manufacturer guidance and appropriate professional practice.

Customers should follow any aftercare or re-entry instructions provided following treatment.

12. Roof Cleaning and Exterior Work

Roof and exterior cleaning methods will be selected according to the surface condition, access requirements and level of contamination.

CleanSafe does not guarantee that all staining or organic growth will disappear immediately after treatment. Some biocide-treated algae, lichen or staining may continue to weather away gradually over time.

Roof cleaning does not constitute a structural survey or guarantee the condition or watertightness of a roof.

13. Floor, Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning

Customers should inform CleanSafe of any known issues such as:

  • previous chemical treatments

  • colour instability

  • shrinkage risk

  • damaged seams

  • loose flooring

  • adhesive failure

  • pre-existing stains or wear

Where necessary, CleanSafe may carry out testing before treatment.

Some stains, wear patterns or permanent damage may not be fully removable.

14. Marble, Stone and Specialist Restoration

Natural stone and marble can vary significantly in hardness, finish, porosity and previous treatment.

Restoration results may therefore vary depending on the condition of the material and previous damage.

CleanSafe will select methods intended to improve the surface while minimising unnecessary risk.

15. Payment

Payment terms will be stated on the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation.

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within the timeframe specified on the invoice.

CleanSafe reserves the right to request a deposit or staged payment for larger or specialist works.

16. Complaints or Concerns

If a customer has any concern about completed work, they should contact CleanSafe as soon as reasonably possible.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, arrange an inspection or reasonable remedial action.

This does not affect any statutory rights available to consumers.

17. Liability

CleanSafe will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

CleanSafe will not be responsible for:

  • pre-existing defects or damage

  • deterioration caused by the underlying condition of a surface

  • loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer

  • indirect or consequential losses where exclusion is permitted by law

  • delays caused by weather, unsafe conditions or circumstances outside our reasonable control

18. Photographs

CleanSafe may take photographs before, during or after work for record-keeping, quality control or quotation purposes.

Photographs identifying a customer or private property will not be used for public marketing without appropriate permission.

Where permission is given, images may be used on the CleanSafe website, social media or marketing materials.

19. Website Information

Information provided on the CleanSafe website is intended as general guidance.

Service descriptions, examples and photographs do not constitute a guarantee that identical results will be achieved at every property.

A site assessment may be required to determine the most appropriate treatment.

20. Changes to Services or Terms

CleanSafe may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to a booking will normally be the version in effect when the booking is confirmed, unless changes are required by law or agreed with the customer.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, subject to any mandatory consumer rights regarding jurisdiction.
